Exploiting the Viral - 1

The Viral Video. As defined by Wikipedia:

The term viral video refers to video clip content which gains widespread popularity through the process of Internet sharing, typically through email or IM messages, blogs and other media sharing websites. Viral videos are often humorous in nature and may range from televised comedy sketches such as Saturday Night Live’s Lazy Sunday to unintentionally released amateur video clips like Star Wars kid, the Numa Numa song, or The Dancing Cadet

There are lots of common virals. They get picked up and passed on based on many different criteria. They’re funny, they’re sexy, or they’re in some way forbidden - often a combination of these. There’s the ever-popular webcam sing-along. The even more ever-popular webcam booty dance. The kissing girls. Oo, the kissing girls…

Sorry. Got distracted there for a second.

So I find it a lot of fun when somebody finds a way to exploit the virals. Here, we see an indie film production exploiting the webcam booty dance. They’ve got two cute girls to bounce around on top of a bed and dance to hip-hop. In the background, the wall is covered in posters for the film, while a television plays scenes from the movie. Snazzy, right? Well, it caught my attention, anyway.
